St James Square Ghost Sign
A ghost sign remains on what’s left of St James Square in Edinburgh’s New Town.

In the 1960s, three sides of St James Square were bulldozed to make way for the St James Centre and New St Andrews House.

The bulldozers were back in late 2016, and the only survivor was the John Lewis store.

Edinburgh’s new retail centre, the St James Quarter, now occupies the site.
